Dr. Said Khalfan Al Aghbari

Qualification : BSc, MD, FFR, RCSI, VIR

Experience : Dr. Said Alaghbari is graduated from SQU college of Medicine (Oman) in 1995. He joined residency training program at Royal college of Surgeons in Ireland, Faculty of Radiologists, KWT center from 2004 to 2008. He successfully completed board certificate in diagnostic Radiology in 2009 and Fellowship in Interventional Radiology in Singapore Hospital in 2010. He joined Armed Forces Hospital in 2010 and he appointed as Senior consultant in diagnostic and interventional radiology since 2012.

Gained experience in the following diagnostic and IR procedures:

• Reporting CT and MRI of Brain, Head &Neck chest, hepatobiliary, Abdomen & Pelvis and MSK (shoulder, knee and whole spine) .In addition to plain x -rays.
• Arterial and Venous angioplasty.
• Arterial and tumor Embolization.
• Venous access (PICC, CVL, Port-A-cath insertion) and removal.
• Mass Biopsy.
• Liver/ Kidney biopsy.
• Percutaneous cholecystostomy.
• PCN tube insertion/ Exchange.
• Intra-articular steroid joint injection
• Pleural/ Peritoneal fluid drainage.
• Pneumothorax aspiration/ drainage.
• Abscess drainage.
• Sclerotherapy of low-flow vascular malformation.
• Cholangiogram.
• PTC and Nephrostomy. (Stenting)
• Thyroid FNA.
• Esophageal dilatation.
• Image-guided lumbar puncture and epidural injection.

Dr. Said Alaghbari was heading the radiology department in Armed Forces Hospital from 2016 t0 2019 and he actively participates in administrative and academic activities , involved with teaching and training interns and OMSB residents
